Peaceful fish that makes a small territory. The
aquarium should be set up with stones, driftwood and roots,
and should be planted very densely because they need a lot of
hiding places. You should use some floating plants and the
light must be dimmed. A regular changing of the water
is necessary. You should give them small live food. They barely accept dry food. Breeding is not difficult. Up to 150 eggs are laid and fertilized in a cave. The male takes care of the fry during the first days. When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them with baby brine shrimp. |
