Lively and peaceful fish that can be kept together with
other peaceful fishes. The aquarium should be planted
densely on the sides and background. In the middle you
should leave enough free swimming space. To decorate the
aquarium you can use some driftwood as well.
He is omnivorous. You can give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food. Breeding is easy. The fishes should be put in a separate aquarium with a spawning grid and fine leaved plants in the evening. In the morning sun they spawn between the plants. After spawning you should remove the parents because they eat their own eggs. After 30-36 hours the eggs hatch, and a few days later the young fishes are swimming free. You can raise them with small infusoria. |
