Rather peaceful fish that makes a territory. Males are
very intolerant to each other, so it is not wise to keep
more then one male in your aquarium. The aquarium
should be set up with driftwood and stones that make hiding
places. You can use plants for decoration as well. They are omnivorous. You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food. They prefer algae. Breeding is not easy. After a large changing of the water the eggs are laid and fertilized. Young fishes grow very slow. You can raise them with baby brine shrimp. |
