Rather peaceful fish, of which only males are aggressive to
each other. You should set up the aquarium with some
floating plants where they can hide. A dark substrate
is appreciated. You can keep them well with other
fishes that are larger. You should give them small live food. Dry food is accepted as well. Breeding is easy. They are mouthbreeders. The male takes the fertilized eggs in his mouth. After 9 days the young fishes are released. You can raise them with baby brine shrimp. |
