| A somewhat aggressive and territorial  fish that should
be kept in pairs.  The fish burrows in the substrate so
if you use plants they should be anchored very well.
The aquarium should be set up with stones and driftwood to
create holes and hiding places. You should give them a great variety of live food. Breeding is easy. Up to 400 eggs are laid in a hole. Both parents take care of the fry. When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them the first weeks with rotifer and later with Artemia-nauplii. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
