Peaceful dwarfcichlid that you should keep in a special
aquarium for dwarfcichlids. The aquarium should be set up
with plants, driftwood, roots and stones, creating holes and
hiding places where females make their own small territory.
Males make a larger territory with several females.
You should give them small live food. Breeding is easy. The eggs are laid and fertilized in a cave. The female cares for the fry and the male defends the territory against intruders. After 3 days the eggs hatch and another 4 days later the young fishes are swimming free. You can raise them with baby brine shrimp. |
