Peaceful fish towards other species. Fishes that are
too small will be eaten because they think it is food.
Males have a territory and they are very aggressive to each
other. When there are not enough hiding places they
always chase each other. The aquarium should be
densely planted and decorated with driftwood and roots
creating lots of hiding places. A powerful filter is
necessary. You should change the water frequently.
During winter you should lower the temperature to 18°C
(64°F). You should give them live food. They are very fond of snails. Dry food is accepted as well. About breeding in the aquarium nothing is known. |
