|
Peaceful fish that you can keep in a community aquarium
together with other peaceful fishes. The aquarium
should be planted not too densely on the sides and background.
In the middle you should leave a lot of free swimming space.
They like a sunny spot. A powerful filter is
recommended. You should feed them live food like insect larvae. Frozen and dry food is accepted as well. Breeding is easy. The eggs are laid and fertilized between fine leaved plants. After 8 days the eggs hatch. When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them with very fine infusoria and a few days later with Artemia-nauplii. |
