| Rather calm, and to other larger cichlids somewhat reserved
fish that is barely aggressive.  You should keep them
as a pair.  A territory is made.  The aquarium
should be set up with driftwood, roots and stones that make
hiding places.  Some plants can be used for decoration
as well. They are omnivorous. You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food. Breeding is rather easy. The eggs are laid and fertilized on a stone. Both parents care for the fry very intensive. Even after hatching they care for their young a very long time. You can feed the young fishes with baby brine shrimp. They grow quickly. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
