Peaceful fish that can be kept in a small group or as a pair.  The aquarium should be placed on a sunny spot.  The aquarium should be set up with floating plants in one corner and the other corner should be planted densely with other plants.  You should cover the aquarium very well because the fishes are very good jumpers.  A peat filter and a regular changing of the water are recommendable.

The fish is omnivorous, so you should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food.

Breeding is easy.  You should cover the aquarium and then you let grow a leave of a plant above the water.  The parents jump to the bottom of the leave and they stick the eggs under the leave.  After that the 150 - 200 eggs are wet by the male continuous.  After 2-3 days the eggs hatch and the young fishes fall into the water.  You can raise them with very fine infusoria.
