Rather peaceful fish that is not very territorial. You
should keep one male together with several females.
The aquarium should be set up with stones and rocks to
create crevices and caves because they need hiding places.
Some hard plants can be used for decoration as well. In their natural habitat they mostly eat algae from the rocks, containing crustaceans and aquatic insects, the so called "aufwuchs". In the aquarium you can give them small live food such as water-flees and Artemia, varied with some Spirulina flakes. About breeding in the aquarium not much is known. |
