Peaceful schooling fish that can be kept with other cichlids
from Lake Tanganyika. They live in the upper water
layers. You should keep them in a large school.
The aquarium should be covered very well because they are
very good jumpers.
You should give then life food. Dry food is accepted as well. Breeding is not very difficult. The eggs are laid just below the water surface. The female takes the eggs in her mouth and after that the males fertilizes them. After 3 weeks the young fish leave the mouth of the mother, and they have to take care for themselves. You can feed them baby brine shrimp. |
