Family : Cyprinodontidae
Origin : Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Burma
Length : 15 cm - 6"
Min. length aquarium : 170 cm - 70"
English name : Dangila Danio
This large, lively schooling fish should be kept at least with 10 fishes in a large aquarium with a lot of free swimming space in the middle.  The aquarium should be planted densely on the sides and background.  A large filter and clear water are appreciated.  They are suited for a larger community aquarium together with other fishes, that are not too shy, because they are very dominant.  Because they are very good jumpers it is necessary to cover the aquarium very well.

They are omnivorous.  You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food.

About breeding in the aquarium not much is known, but probably it is the same like other Danios.
