You can keep this rather tolerant species in a group.
They are not very territorial. The aquarium should
have a sandy substrate. The aquarium should be set up
with stones, driftwood and some well anchored plants.
They dig in the substrate looking for food. You should give them live food. Frozen and dry food are accepted as well. About breeding in the aquarium not much is known yet. After the eggs are laid and fertilized they are taken in the mouth by the female immediately. The male does not care for the fry at all. |
