Peaceful schooling fish that needs a lot of free swimming
space. You should plant the aquarium on the sides and
background. It is important the aquarium has a sunny
spot in the early morning sun.
They are omnivorous. You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food. Breeding is easy. You just need an aquarium with some javavoss that can be used as spawning substrate. Every morning a few eggs are laid and fertilized in the moss. At a temperature of 23-25°C (73-77°F) the eggs hatch after 7-10 days. When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them with baby brine shrimp. They grow quickly. |
