Peaceful schooling fish that can be kept in a community aquarium with other peaceful fishes.  The aquarium should be densely planted on the sides and background.  In the middle you should eave a lot of free swimming space.  The substrate should be dark and the light dimmed to bring out the colours of the fish.  A regular large changing of the water is necessary.

You should feed them with small live food like Artemia or Daphnia.

Breeding is not difficult.  A breeding aquarium should be prepared with fine leaved plants.  You should put the fishes in the aquarium in the evening.  The eggs are laid between the plants in the morning sun.  After spawning the parents should be removed.  When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them with small infusoria and some days later with baby brine shrimp.
