Lively and peaceful schooling fish that you can keep in a
community aquarium together with other small and peaceful
fishes. The aquarium should be planted densely on the
sides and background. In the middle you should leave a
lot of free swimming space. A dark substrate and a
dimmed light by using floating plants bring out the colours
of the fish. Then they get less shy as well. A regular
changing of the water is appreciated. You should give them a great variety of small live food such as Artemia-nauplii, black mosquito larvae and cyclops. They especially like fruitflies. Frozen food is accepted as well. About breeding in the aquarium nothing is known.
