Min. length aquarium : 150 cm - 60"
English name : Blue mbuna
This fish is a very aggressive mouthbreeder.  You should keep one male together with several females.  The aquarium should be decorated with a lot of rocks and stones that form caves and crevices. Some hard plants can be used for decoration as well.  You should use a lot of light to make algae grow on the rocks.

They mainly eat algae, but you can give them live and dry food as well.

Breeding is rather easy.  Up to 50 eggs are laid on a stone.  Immediately after that the female takes the eggs in her mouth.  They are fertilized by the male using the dummy egg method.  About 4 weeks later the young fishes leave the mouth of the mother.  You can raise them with baby brine shrimp.
