| Generally peaceful fish that should be kept as a group in a
large aquarium. They are sometimes somewhat aggressive to
species of their own kind.  The aquarium should be set
up with driftwood, roots and stones.  Plants can not be
used for decoration because they will eat them.  The
substrate should be sandy.  A strong water current is
appreciated.  You can keep them together with other
fishes of equal size.  Because they like to nip fins it
is not wise to keep them together with fishes with long
fins.  They are good jumpers, so the aquarium should be
covered very well. You should give them mainly vegetable food such as lettuce and fruit. Young fishes like to eat vegetable dry food as well. About breeding in the aquarium nothing is known. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
