| Peaceful, active schooling fish that can be kept together
with other rainbow fishes.  The aquarium should be planted
densely on the sides and background.  In the middle you
should leave much free swimming space.  A regular
changing of the water is necessary. You should feed them with live food. Dry food is accepted as well. A part of the food should be vegetable. Breeding is easy. Up to 30 eggs are laid and fertilized between fine leaved plants every day. At a temperature of 22-24°C (72-75°F) the eggs hatch after a week. At this moment the parents should be removed. When the young fishes are swimming free you can feed them with rotifers and a few days later with Artemia-nauplii. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
