Very peaceful schooling fish that needs a lot of free swimming
space, His natural habitat is in the neighbourhood of
coastal rivers, so it is recommended to add some seasalt to
the water (1-2 teaspoons at 10 liters). The aquarium
may stand on a sunny place in the morning sun. He is omnivorous. They like to eat dry food as well. Breeding is very easy. During 1-2 weeks the eggs are laid and fertilized daily between fine leaved plants. The eggs hatch after 11 days and a few days later the young fishes are swimming free. You can raise them with small infusoria and fine crushed dry food. |
