Lively schooling fish that can be kept in a community
aquarium without soft plants. Those plants can not be
used because they are eaten. The aquarium should be
set up with stones, driftwood and roots. Javafern and
some large, well anchored Echinodorus can be used for
decoration as well. A strong peat filter is
recommended.
They are omnivorous, but the largest part of the food should be vegetable such as lettuce, spinach and peas. Fruit, dry food and live food such as mosquito larvae are accepted as well. About breeding in the aquarium nothing is known. |
