|
Peaceful schooling fish for the community aquarium together
with calm fishes. The aquarium should be planted densely on
the sides and background. During daytime they are a
little bit shy and they hide between the plants. In
the evening they search after food in de upper water layers.
You should give them small live food. Small dry food is accepted as well. Breeding is not easy. The aquarium should be large enough and the water should be soft and acid and very clean without nitrate. 30-40 eggs are laid and fertilized in Javamoss. After spawning the parents should be removed immediately. After 1-3 days the eggs hatch. When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them with infusoria and later with Artemia-nauplii. |
