| This peaceful fish is suited for the community aquarium.
Please don't keep them together with other Xiphophorus
because they crossbreed very easily and then the original
species disappear very quick in the aquarium. (and after
that in their natural habitat as well)    The
aquarium should be planted densely because they (and their
young) need hiding places.  A powerful filter is
necessary. You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food. A part of the food should be vegetable. Frozen and dry food are accepted as well. Breeding is easy. They are viviparous. Every 4-5 weeks 10-30 young fishes are born. You can feed them with baby brine shrimp and fine crushed dry food. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
