English name : Finestripe Dwarf Cichlid
You should keep this small dwarfcichlid as a couple.  If the quality of the water is good you can keep him in a community aquarium.  The aquarium should be set up with stones, driftwood and roots, and on the sides and background densely planted, because they need hiding places.

They are omnivorous.  You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food.

Breeding is easy.  Up to 100 eggs are laid and fertilized in a cave,  The female takes care of the fry and the male defends the territory.  After 3 days the eggs hatch and another 6 days later the young fishes are swimming free.   Sometimes the parents mate quickly after that.  To avoid conflicts it is better to raise the young in a separate tank.  You can feed the young fishes with baby brine shrimp.
