Peaceful schooling fish that can be kept together with other
peaceful fishes. It is not wise to keep them together
with fishes with long fins because they like to nip them.
The aquarium should be planted densely on the sides and
background with plants that are not too soft, because they
like to eat them. A dark substrate and a dimmed light
are necessary, because otherwise they get very shy. They are omnivorous. You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food. A large part of the food should be vegetable. About breeding in the aquarium not much is known. |
