Peaceful, lively fish that needs a lot of free swimming space.  The aquarium should be set up on the sides and background with fine leaved plants.  It is a schooling fish but now and then he leaves the school to swim on his own.  They like to swim some hours of the day in direct sunlight.

These fishes are very greedy and they eat everything they can find.

Breeding is fairly easy. The parents should be well fed and put in a separate aquarium with a spawning grid and fine leaved plants in the evening.  In the morningsun they spawn between the plants.  After spawning you should remove the parents.  After 2 days the eggs hatch.  When the young fishes are swimming free you can feed them with very fine infusoria and a few days later with baby brine shrimp.
