Peaceful fish that is sometimes a little bit shy when there
are not enough hiding places. You can keep them in a
group. Males are sometimes a little bit aggressive to
each other. The aquarium should be planted densely with
a lot of hiding places. They like a dark substrate. They are omnivorous. Especially during breeding time you should feed them regularly. Breeding is not difficult. When there is a pair they lay regularly 1-3 eggs between fine leaved plants. After spawning the parents should be removed. After 24 hours the eggs hatch. When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them with very fine infusoria and a few days later with baby brine shrimp. |
