Peaceful schooling fish that needs a lot of free swimming
space, On the sides and the background the aquarium
can be planted. They are a good company in every
community tank. They are omnivorous. You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food. Breeding is very easy. You can put together in a breeding tank several males and females. Because they are egg eaters you need a spawning grid. You can use a layer of marbles as well. You don't need plants. You should put the fishes in the aquarium late in the evening. The next morning they spawn more then 500 eggs. After spawning the parents should be removed. After 36-48 hours the eggs hatch. A few days later the young fishes are swimming free. You can raise them with Liquifry. |
