Peaceful schooling fish for a small community aquarium.  He should be kept together with other peaceful fishes.  The aquarium should be well planted on the sides and background.  The water should be soft.

You should feed them small live food.  Dry food is accepted as well.

Breeding is not easy.  You should have  good matching fishes.  You get the best results with some older fishes.  The female should be fed very well.  The breeding aquarium should be set up with fine leaved plants.  It is recommendable to use one female and two males.  Breeding temperature should be 27°C (81°F).  The eggs are laid and fertilized between the plants.  After spawning you should remove the parents.  When the young fishes are swimming free you can feed them with plenty infusoria and later with baby brine shrimp.
