This fish is only aggressive to supernumerary young fishes
and unwanted females. To other fishes he is rather
peaceful. The aquarium should be set op on the sides
and background with stones that form caves and crevices.
He does not dig in the substrate. You should give them live food only. Other food is not accepted. Breeding is easy. The fish is monogamous. The eggs are laid and fertilized in caves. The female cares for the fry and the male defends the territory. The young fishes are sensitive for water pollution. You can raise them with baby brine shrimp. |
