|
Peaceful fish for the community aquarium. The aquarium
should be set up with a lot of hiding places by planting a lot
of quick growing plants on the sides and background.
Also use floating plants. The fish is very sensitive for
fungus, so it is recommended to add some salt to the water. The feeding of these fish is easy. Flakes, frozen and live-food are accepted, but most of the diet should be vegetable like algae. Breeding is easy. The fish is viviparous. Every eight weeks up to 120 young fishes are delivered. They hide between the roots of floating plants. You can feed them with crushed dry food and baby brine shrimp. |
